One of the things I love about the Trauma Release (a blend of NLP and hypnosis) is that it does not require my client to recall deeply painful memores. I also appreciate that I don’t have to hear the ugly experiences either!
Let’s use a metaphor to explain how this works:
Imagine that your mind stores all your memories in a giant warehouse filled with filing cabinets of 3 general types.
Thousands of them are “non-color” filing cabinets. You know, the ones that are almost beige but not really. They might be grey but not quite. They’re just neutral in appearance. These cabinets contain all your neutral memories. Neutral meaning they have no emotional overlays. You remember them and feel nothing other than recognition of the experience.
You also have cabinets that are your favorite color. I trust you have lots of them because these contain all your wonderful, happy, joyful, loving memories.
There are some cabinets which are your least favorite color. These contain memories which hurt if you recall them. Perhaps it’s irritation or frustration. Maybe you feel something stronger, such as anger, deep hurt or pain.
Using the Trauma Release (a combination of hypnosis and NLP) allows you to release the hurt and pain. Continuing the metaphor, it’s as though you shake off these ugly, undesirable feelings and re-store the memories in neutral colored cabinets.
It’s a WIN all around! Quick and easy too.
